Co-founders / Snatch UP

Two founders. One high bar.

Snatch UP is Hana Wimberly and Stephanie Hodes. Between them they cover the two halves of a search that usually get separated: who can do the job, and who will fit once they are doing it.

Search strategy and talent judgment

Hana leads searches across cybersecurity, SaaS and startups. Sixteen years in recruiting and a master’s in Organizational Behavior and Development mean she looks at how someone will work inside your team, not only at what they have done before.

She works from San Francisco across international markets and has placed security researchers, engineering leaders and revenue heads in New York, San Francisco, London and Singapore.

What you get: someone who tells you in week one if the level or the salary on offer is out of step with the market, instead of letting you find out in week six.

Matching people to companies

Stephanie is a matchmaker at heart. She spends as much time on what a company is actually like, its culture, its values and what it is trying to build, as she does on the role itself, because that is what decides whether a hire stays and does their best work.

She came to search from cyber recruitment, operations and finance, so she reads a business quickly: the constraints, the timing, and what a new hire is walking into. Before anyone reaches you, she has already answered whether they have the potential to do the job and to fit the place they are joining.

What you get: people chosen for fit as well as skill, and an engagement that stays simple from the first call to the signed offer.
